Hi Collective, it’s time to talk about something which is still considered a taboo subject, a subject which 1 in 4 will go through, baby and pregnancy loss. This week 9th-15th October is Baby Loss Awareness Week and we’ve teamed up with Elsie's Moon a charity set up to support families when pregnancy doesn't follow the plan. Candle Collective UK will be donating 50% of all profits to this amazing charity during this week, so please purchase those £5 wax melts or the £15 candle you’ve been thinking about, as this week it’ll make a big difference.
Lindsey and Chris set up the charity after their daughter Elsie Stevie Pagett passed away last year. Elsie was born on 3rd August 2018, with a super speedy, drama-queen entrance into the world. Much to Mummy & Daddy’s surprise along with their families, she had a full head of long, fluffy, black hair - the ginger and bald genes were nowhere to be seen! Elsie fought hard for 17hours, she did her Mummy and Daddy so proud.
Alongside providing 'Elsie's Esstenial' hospital packs, and 'Little Butterfly' early loss packs, the charity offer wellbeing classes for families effected by loss, trauma and fertility.
Lindsey and Chris work hard in breaking the silence around baby loss, also working with other charities in supporting bereavement training.
The charity are a member of the Baby Loss Awareness Alliance which is a group of more than 60 charities who are committed to raising awareness of pregnancy and baby loss and providing support.
