Hi Collective, welcome to our first blog post, exciting! I wanted to say a big thank you for being here, reading this blog and giving my little business some love and support, it means the world to me and it’s truly appreciated!
I first had the idea to start a home candle based business when myself and my fiancé were planning our 2019 wedding, I loved the idea of ‘scenting our wedding day’ and began looking in to different ways to achieve it. I stumbled across youtube videos on candle making and instantly fell in love with the idea!. For months I researched the process, different combinations of waxes, wicks, oils and containers, chatted to other amazing candle makers (which by the way we‘re called Chandler’s which I love this being a big Friends fan!) I decided on vegetable soy wax for a number of reasons which I’ll put in another blog, but the biggest being it’s vegan friendly, sustainable and much cleaner burning than some of its wax counterparts.
We moved in to our new home at the end of 2018 and I began making and testing various candle recipes, and this is where the first fragrance Lime, Mandarin & Basil was born! Now whenever I smell this scent it always takes me back to that time and I love it! From there on our other Signature Collection scents were made and brought to life. I’m super proud to say everything is made, mixed, packaged and poured by hand at home by myself, allowing me to make sure every small batch made is of the highest quality for you.
Ive still not gotten around to making a scent for our wedding day, but I do plan to when I find the time!
